As the low pressure cold front came in yesterday, I watched the weather all day. It was a normal system with a normal boring pattern going from North West to South East. This morning, as you can see, the system is now beginning to spiral from the South East to North West! This is not normal.
This system in the United States have been observed for a few years and the trend is increasing. As the jet stream and polar vortex becomes broken and AMOC is changing, we can see these types of patterns more and more as the polar shift progress’s.
I decided to post these sightings for Kentucky and neighboring states for tracking purposes. I urge everyone to also share or post these monsoon systems in your state as well! We will see a more wet summer this year.
