Just how weakened is our magnetic shield on Earth currently is? Our current proton storm came from an eruption on the far side of the sun! The good thing is sunspot 3901 is currently stable but we are still under watch for an X-class flaring. We should see a mild M-Class today or tomorrow and depending on the size, possible X-class will follow.
