No secret that when it comes to Hollywood when it comes hidden gems found in media. Especially movies. Not long ago, someone requested from the DOD if they was financing such movies and in return, that person was provided a list and reasons. The DOD is not financing said movies but “contributes” to them. This could be anywhere from combat training to weapon specialists. Science also is involved when it comes to DARPA or contractors that work for the Department of Defense. DOD also helps with the script as well as the storyline.
Below are some screenshots of the movies that was listed by the DOD at the time of the FIOA. There is more that the DOD has contributed since then. No wonder why the movie “2012”, “The Day After Tomorrow” and “The Core” gets referenced to disasters.
