Major news outlets are in full swing on the storm system still active today that swept through multiple states bringing heavy rains, winds and tornados.

As a survivor of the floods of Eastern Kentucky last month, I can say this is a serious event and millions are in danger. Most what makes this one dangerous compared to other flooding events? Atmospheric rivers.

When the national weather service and mainstream media mentions a 1,000 year flood, it is dire to take extra precaution as this occur.

Many of these hard-hit areas once was under a drought watch, indicating that the now saturated grounds are ripe for excessive rain runoff with no where to go. This does not help that our jet stream is also acting up brining more winds downward to Earth’s lithosphere.

Also mentioning that new discovery under the New Madrid fault lines does not help with this flooding as it can cause further unrest under the fault.
Please be safe, get to higher ground and do not drive in flood waters!
